Margarita Pidgeon

Bay Area native MARGARITA PIDGEON began her career in San Francisco working in the wig/makeup department of San Francisco Opera, San Francisco Ballet, American Conservatory Theater, Berkeley Repertory Theater as well as numerous touring Broadway shows. After moving to Los Angeles to attend the Vidal Sassoon Academy, she pivoted her focus to hairstyling for the film and television industry. 

Her extensive background in wigs and period hairstyling, combined with a solid foundation in modern techniques make her a versatile, in-demand artist. 

Recent projects include the feature films DEEP WATER with Ana de Armas, METAL LORDS, BOMBSHELL, SEBERG and BIRDS OF PREY (WINNER - Best Contemporary Hairstyling, 2020 Makeup Artists & Hairstylists Guild Awards).

Television credits include the Russo Brothers action series CITADEL starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas, FX series THE PATIENT starring Steve Carell, DEADWOOD, BIG LOVE, SONS OF ANARCHY, SCORPION and the HBO cult favorite OUR FLAG MEANS DEATH, the period comedy based on real life 18th century “gentleman pirate” Stede Bonnet (WINNER - Best Period/Character Hairstyling, 2023 Makeup Artists & Hairstylists Guild Award).

Margarita is currently working on the upcoming Jonah Hill comedy OUTCOME.
